Passing of a Finke Newcomer
Simon Orre, Bike 696 who completed his first Finke Desert Race in 2010 passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Tuesday morning 6thJuly. Simon's greatest challenge was the battle of being a Type 1 Diabetic. One of Simon's goals was to show other diabetics that you can still achieve many things in life regardless of the limitations and he certainly did that with his achievements at this years Finke Desert Race. Throughout his life Simon had been a motorsport fanatic competing in go-karts, road racing and finally dirt bikes and only as recently as Sunday was planning for Finke in 2011. Simon leaves behind his wife Shane, Son Damon and Daughter Casandra. The Orre family would like to thank all those associated with the Finke Desert Race and those who helped Simon achieve his dream.

2010 Done and Dusted
The 2010 Tattersall's FInke Desert Race has been run and won with David Fellows winning his third consecutive Finke with co-driver Mark Bergamin in the car section and newcomer Toby Price being the third rider in the history of Finke to win on his maiden ride. The event was full of excitement, fun and success and we hope to see everyone back in 2011!

2nd: Bradley Gallard/Scott Modistach (Renmark, SA) - 3 hours, 41 minutes and 44.28 seconds
3rd: Daniel Auricht/Grant Connelly (Alice Springs, NT) - 3 hours, 53 minutes and 31.91 seconds
BIKES:
1st: Toby Price (Singleton, NSW) - 4 hours, 3 minutes and 25.62 seconds
2nd: Todd Smith (Condobolin, NSW) - 4 hours, 13 minutes and 23.38 seconds
3rd: Ryan Branford (Alice Springs, NT) - 4 hours, 13 minutes and 49.81 seconds
