CAMS is responsible for all forms of four-wheeled motor sport which includes categories such as circuit racing, rallying, off roading, historic competition and other general motor sport activities (including motorkhana, speed, hillclimb, autocross and khanacross events).

Alice Springs Motorcycle Club
In the 1980s and 90s the club has produced nationally recognised Finke Desert Race riders Mark Winter, Randal Gregory, Stephen Greenfield and 1998 Australian 125cc Motocross champion Craig Carmichael. Stephen Greenfield also won outright the 1999 Australian Safari.The club plays host to regular motocross, enduro, natural terrain and flat track events each year for both junior and senior competitors.
