Terms & Refunds

The terms and refund policy below have been extracted from the 2012 SUPPLEMETARY REGULATIONS:
  1. Entries open 9.00 am Monday 30th January 2012 and close 5.00pm Friday 27th April 2012 (CST).  Nominations shall be made via the official on-line entry only and must be accompanied by the entry fee of $580.00.  Late entries may be accepted, at the discretion of the committee, until 5.00pm on Friday 25th May 2012.  Late on-line entry must be accompanied by payment of $695.00 (entry fee plus $115.00 late entry penalty).  Late entries will not be recorded in the official program.  Entries will be via on-line entry at www.finkedersertrace.com.au.  Payments will only be accepted by MasterCard/Visa (as part of the on-line entry).  Refund of entry fee after 27 April 2012 will be at the discretion of the Finke Desert Race Inc.  There will be no refund of entry fee after 25th May 2012Refunds granted up to 27 April 2012 will incur an administration fee of $200.00
     
  2. Refusals:  The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without assigning a reason.
     
  3. Entries are limited to 550 competitors.  Of this number, entries to the Quad classes are limited to 80 competitors.    Should entries exceed 550, those entries will be recorded in order of receipt and placed on a stand-by list.  Should there be withdrawals; stand-by competitors will be notified in order of entry receipt.  The field will be closed on Friday 1st June 2012.
Note: If you submit an entry and pay the entry fee but your entry is not successful because the cap has been reached you will be eligible to a full refund.
